As part of Law Weekend 2015, the Law Alumni Chapter inducted its sixth class into the Law Alumni Hall of Fame. Members of the 2015 class include John H. Fox, Jr. (LLB 20) (posthumously), Mary Libby Payne (BA 1954, LLB 55), W. Scott Welch III (LLB 64), Knox White (BA 47, LLB 48) (posthumously) and Parham H. Williams, Jr. (BA 53, LLB 54).
The Law Alumni Hall of Fame is designed to honor alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their country, state, School of Law, and/or the legal profession through their good deeds, services, or contributions which perpetuate the good name of the University of Mississippi and the law school and/or the legal profession.
Nominations are needed to ensure worthy individuals are considered for the 2016 class, which will be inducted during Law Weekend held March 11-12, 2016. Anyone may submit the name of a School of Law alumna or alumnus to be nominated. Those who are not eligible are elected or appointed officials or judges who are currently in office, full-time employees of the University of Mississippi or current Alumni Association and Law Alumni Chapter officers.
