The University of Mississippi has opened the position for Executive Director of Alumni Affairs and is seeking candidates who can provide visionary leadership for this historic institution’s engagement with its graduates and other key, external constituencies.
Reporting to the university’s chancellor and serving on his senior administrative team, the executive director is the institution’s chief alumni relations officer. The executive director also works in concert with and support of the board of directors of the Ole Miss Alumni Association, an independent, 501(c)(3) organization, whose mission is to support the university’s external engagement efforts. In fulfilling this role, the executive director will partner with the deans, athletics director, foundation and development leaders, chief marketing officer, their staffs and other university leaders to build on the considerable momentum that Ole Miss has generated over recent years. That momentum has translated into increased enrollments and rising recognition for the excellence of its teaching and research.
