Construction on Coulter Hall Offers Improvements, Affects Tailgaters this Football Season
Due to construction and renovation on Coulter Hall, tailgating tents cannot be set up on the northeast portion of the lawn facing University Avenue and All-American Drive.
Improvements in the area of Coulter Hall will create two additions and renovate existing laboratory space.
The additions are a reflection of the unprecedented growth the university has experienced over the past decade and its commitment to strengthening of the university’s research facilities and reputation.
The four-story east addition includes research laboratory space with support offices for student workers and staff. The single-story north addition includes a 200-seat auditorium, lobby and food service installation.
Existing research laboratories will be renovated to serve as undergraduate teaching labratories.
Construction is scheduled to begin in September 2013, with an expected completion date of May 2015 and estimated cost of $15-$16 million.
