Help the Alumni Association support its student scholarships in the 11th year of The Shirt initiative at Ole Miss! Each year, the association introduces a new shirt showing Rebel spirit. Continue or begin your collection in 2018 by ordering shirts for everyone in your family.
The 2018 Shirt features the slogan “Mississippi Made,” which began as a rallying cry around Mississippi-born head football coach Matt Luke, a former Ole Miss player and alumnus. However, “Mississippi Made” has a broader meaning. No matter where we’re from, all Ole Miss alumni are Mississippi Made—we all hold degrees from Mississippi’s flagship university, and while we’ve left campus, our hearts remain at Ole Miss.
All proceeds from every sale will go into scholarship endowments and student programming sponsored by the Alumni Association. The funds are divided between the Herb Dewees Alumni Association Scholarship Endowment, which provides scholarships for children and grandchildren of Ole Miss graduates; the Clay Waycaster/Student Alumni Council Scholarship Endowment, which provides funds for deserving Student Alumni Council members; and the operating budget of the Student Alumni Council, which is a leadership organization sponsored by the Ole Miss Alumni Association and is open to all students at the University of Mississippi.
To date, The Shirt has generated more than $55,000 for student scholarships and programs. The Alumni Association invites you to help make The Shirt initiative a continued success, and give every deserving Ole Miss student the chance to become an alumnus. Don’t miss out on buying The Shirt, supporting the Rebels and supporting Ole Miss students!
