Help the Alumni Association honor the Manning family in its 10th year of The Shirt initiative at Ole Miss! Each year, the association introduces a new shirt showing Rebel spirit. Continue or begin your collection in 2017 by ordering shirts for everyone in your family.
The 2017 is a salute to Archie Manning and the Manning family’s association with Ole Miss. 50 years ago this year, Archie first donned the Rebel uniform as a freshman. The 100-percent cotton Comfort Colors prewashed pocket tee features Ole Miss’ iconic “Speed Limit 18” sign, and a replica “Archie Who?” button on the front pocket.
In honor of the Mannings, $5 from every sale will go to the Manning Family Fund at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The rest of the proceeds go into scholarship endowments and student programming sponsored by the Alumni Association. The funds are divided between the Herb Dewees Alumni Association Scholarship Endowment, which provides scholarships for children and grandchildren of Ole Miss graduates; the Clay Waycaster/Student Alumni Council Scholarship Endowment, which provides funds for deserving Student Alumni Council members; and the operating budget of the Student Alumni Council, which is a leadership organization sponsored by the Ole Miss Alumni Association and is open to all students at the University of Mississippi.
To date, The Shirt has generated nearly $50,000 for student scholarships and programs. The Alumni Association invites you to help make The Shirt initiative a continued success. Don’t miss out on buying The Shirt, supporting the Rebels, and supporting Ole Miss students! Help every deserving Ole Miss student have the chance to become an alumnus!
