Davis L. Gates is a distinguished attorney and policy advisor with extensive experience in regulatory affairs, public service, and legal advocacy. At Atmos Energy, Davis is a regulatory liaison, rate analyst, and public affairs expert. He brings a nuanced understanding of regulatory compliance and rate structures to the energy sector, ensuring both corporate and public interests are aligned. Beyond his role at Atmos, Davis serves as the City Attorney and Prosecutor for Terry, MS. Here he provides legislative counsel, drafting, and revises the City's code of ordinances and advises its Board on the meaning of legislative enactments, and as a prosecutor, he works with law enforcement to investigate crimes, determine whether charges should be filed, and prosecute cases in court. Previously, as the Legal and Policy Advisor for the Central District of the Mississippi Public Service Commission, he provided critical guidance on legal and policy matters, advising the Commissioners and the Commission.
