Member Zone, the Ole Miss Alumni Association’s VIP area before home football games, returns on Saturday, Sept. 2.
Member Zone is open to all active members of the Ole Miss Alumni Association and is typically open in Triplett Alumni Center until one hour prior to kickoff, with starting time varying with game times.
“Oxford consistently ranks as one of the best college towns in the country, and it’s our goal to continue to make Member Zone part of that and be a must-visit area for our members on football game days,” said OMAA CEO Kirk Purdom (BA 93).
Popular Member Zone features include guest-only restrooms; an air-conditioned viewing area in Butler Auditorium with multiple flat-screen TVs displaying different games; free soft drinks and snacks while supplies last; and giveaways including stickers, pom-poms and other spirit items.
Nonmembers and guests can be admitted for $10, and children high school-age and younger are admitted free. Alumni can join and extend their memberships onsite.
Debuted in 2021 and returning this year is a Taylor Catfish food truck with catfish, chicken tenders and barbecue nachos available for purchase. A bar serving beer and seltzers will be located on the front walkway of the Alumni Center.
Purdom said that for the Mercer season opener on Sept. 2, the first 100 people to enter will receive a free clear stadium bag and “Sip” button.
“We’re excited to offer Member Zone to our active alumni and fans,” said Purdom. “Thousands of alumni visit Triplett Alumni Center on game days, and we continue to work to make Member Zone the world-class experience our members deserve. Also, be sure to check out McCormick’s located in The Inn at Ole Miss for fantastic food and drinks not only on game weekends, but any day of the week.”
