As part of Law Weekend 2016, the Law Alumni Chapter inducted its seventh class into the Law Alumni Hall of Fame. Members of the 2016 class include 2016 James B. Tucker (JD 66), Robert C. Khayat (BAEd 61, JD 66), Clare Sekul Hornsby (LLB 45), Guthrie T. Abbott, Sr. (BA 64, JD 67) and Frank O. Crosthwait, Jr. (BBA 58, JD 59).
The Law Alumni Hall of Fame is designed to honor alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their country, state, School of Law, and/or the legal profession through their good deeds, services, or contributions which perpetuate the good name of the University of Mississippi and the law school and/or the legal profession.
Nominations are needed to ensure worthy individuals are considered for the 2017 class, which will be inducted during Law Weekend held March 24-25, 2017. Anyone may submit the name of a School of Law alumna or alumnus to be nominated. Those who are not eligible are elected or appointed officials or judges who are currently in office, full-time employees of the University of Mississippi or current Alumni Association and Law Alumni Chapter officers.
