Spring Features Full Club Season and Luncheon Series Lineup

Though club season doesn’t normally start up until after the Spring Football game, the first club meeting of 2008 was hosted by the North Delta Ole Miss Club and took place in Clarksdale on February 12. A standing-room only crowd gathered at Ground Zero Blues Club in downtown Clarksdale to meet Head Football Coach, Houston Nutt, and his staff. Attendees were treated to live music during the social hour and local cuisine provided by Ground Zero.

The 2008 club season is already showing a lot of promise as far as number of attendees at each event is concerned. The evening events will continue to focus strictly on Rebel Athletics, and faithful fans will get a chance to meet the University’s talented coaching staff.

“Our alumni and friends are excited about what’s happening in all Rebel sports programs,” says Warner Alford, executive director of Alumni Affairs. “This spring and summer will give you an opportunity to hear from our head coaches and their staff at more than 50 meetings around the nation.”

More dates will follow, but the dates on the calendar have been confirmed to this point.
