A Special Trip Exclusively for Ole Miss Alumni and Friends.
Brixen/Bressanone, on the south, sunny, side of the Alps, commands the strategic route to the Brenner Pass. For over a millennium, the town was the seat of the archbishop of a region extending as far as Switzerland. We will have a private visit to Castle Juval, owned by climber Reinhold Messner, and lovingly restored under the supervision of our guide, Angelika.
In Rome, the eternal city, we will stay in a unique residence hotel, which has been converted from a 14th century monastery. It’s in an exclusive location, with terraces overlooking St. Peter’s Square. Highlights of our visit include attending a Papal Audience and a private, after-hours tour of the Sistine Chapel. Side trips will be offered to Perugia and Assisi, rich cultural towns in Umbria, and to the ruins of Rome’s port, Ostia. Our time together will conclude with a private dinner and wine tastingg.
