Staff Focus: Wendy Carmean

Wendy Carmean (BA 97) joined the alumni staff in March 2003 as director of marketing and membership. Wendy’s main duties include developing and overseeing marketing initiatives and branding for membership, merchandising and The Inn at Ole Miss. Wendy also focuses on attracting new members and providing helpful alumni member benefits and programs. Additionally, she manages relationships with sponsors, vendors and other partners of the Alumni Association.

Wendy brings more than 7 years of marketing experience to the Alumni Association. She spent three years in Nashville with Endres and Wilson Advertising as an Account Manager before returning to Oxford to serve as Director of Marketing and Communications for SAIR Linux, and then as Vice-President of Client Relations for IP3, Inc.

An Oxford native, Wendy holds a BA from Ole Miss. She is married to Jay Carmean (BA 96, JD 99), a native of Carurthersville, MO, and a Partner with Tannehill & Carmean, an Oxford law firm. Wendy enjoys traveling, painting, music, cooking and spending time with friends, family and her “kitty cat” John.
