Building a Stronger Future

When a chilled water pipe burst in the former cafe of the Triplett Alumni Center and flooded all offices and meeting spaces in April 2009, plans for Phase III of the renovation of the building were unexpectedly expedited.

Those plans, now underway, call for the complete renovation of the alumni offices, including all the areas affected by the flood.

Following the completion of The Inn at Ole Miss tower in 2008, the next phase of the expansion plan, Phase II, was to be the creation of business and fitness centers for the hotel. After the April 2009 flood, however, alumni staff scattered to various guest rooms in The Inn as well as into the former hotel lobby and Griffin Boardroom.

One of the most anticipated football seasons in Ole Miss history and the demand for those occupied hotel rooms required the staff to relocate once again. This most recent move was to the Oxford Mall, which the university now owns.

Ole Miss alumni and friends are invited to participate in the future development of our home, the Triplett Alumni Center. Donors will have an opportunity to have their names or others they want to recognize placed in one of the most prominent places on campus. Naming opportunities range from $250 to $55,000. Gifts in support of Triplett Alumni Center are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

As the home of the Alumni Association, the Triplett Alumni Center serves as a cornerstone of the Association's mission to foster community, communication and connections for current and future Ole Miss alumni and friends.
